From a plantation shack in rural Jamaica to the boardrooms of Toronto's Bay Street, Wes Hall’s rise is a testament to grit, vision and purpose. As Founder and CEO of Kingsdale Advisors, he has led some of Canada's most complex corporate deals, establishing the firm as a leader in shareholder advisory services.

He also serves as Founder and Executive Chairman of WeShall Investments, a private equity firm backing BIPOC entrepreneurs, and is a prominent investor on CBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Wes is the Founder of the BlackNorth Initiative, the first Black Chancellor of the University of Toronto in its nearly 200-year history, and a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Canada-U.S. Relations. He has been named one of Maclean’s 50 most powerful people in Canada twice, he has received the King Charles III Coronation Medal and he holds six honorary doctorates.

His accolades include the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Business Leader of the Year Award from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Social Impact Award from the Toronto Black Film Festival, Communicator of the Year Award from the International Association of Business Communicators Toronto and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, to name but a few.
