Salamu Ali Brahim

Salamu is an Associate at Maverix Private Equity, where he focuses on supporting the firm’s corporate finance function and fund operations.

Before joining Maverix, Salamu was an Intermediate Accountant at CI Financial, a leading Canadian asset and wealth management firm, where he was involved in financial and management reporting, general accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives that enhanced the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function. Salamu began his career in internal audit at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines before working as an Advisor at RBC.

Salamu holds degrees in Accounting and Data Science from Luther College. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, biking, and travelling.
