Joe Natale

Joe Natale is a Special Advisor to Maverix with over 30 years of experience building and leading high-growth businesses in technology, telecommunications, and digital transformation.

He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Communications, Canada’s largest provider of wireless communications, internet, TV, and sports entertainment services. Prior to Rogers, Natale served as Telus’ President and CEO and previously as Chief Commercial Officer, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a regional telecom provider into a leading national wireless and enterprise brand.

Joe began his career as a software engineer and later co-founded a business transformation and systems integration consulting firm, which was acquired by KPMG. He held successive leadership roles at KPMG Consulting, including Managing Partner for Canada and Global Managing Director in the consumer and industrial markets segment, advising Fortune 500 companies on customer acquisition and retention, supply chain optimization, and digital integration.

Currently, Joe serves on the boards of Shopify and Sun Life and is a Senior Advisor to Altas Partners. He is also a board member and advisor to the Creative Destruction Lab, a global startup accelerator with locations in six countries. His past directorships include Rogers, Telus, TD Bank, Livingston International, Home Capital, Celestica, and SickKids Hospital.

Natale holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo. He has been recognized with Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the Alumni Gold Medal in Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
